I am pretty excited about this as I have been looking fo one for sometime and I finally found iy as a matter fact I found 2 great specimens both look great one in a OGH holder
an one in a newer on, the one in the newer holder is priced right around book value
PCGS guide however the OGH holder only has a %50 percent value that translates in to
an extra $2,500 its ironic that the OGH holder is $200 more !!

I'm confused. Your last photo is the wrong cert and is a 2006 $50.

I didn't find the cert for the OGH, but that's the direction I would go.
    More cool factor.
I wouldn't pony up for the 66, 65 or 64 would be plenty good enough for me.

The OGH is nice to have because not only is it a classic label, but it indicates the coin was graded direct from the Gillio find to PCGS.

That's what I would want -- I wanted the same coin as your OGH but with a CAC that cost about $4,500 a year or so ago.

I could not validate on line the OGH, so I called PCGS and there are 174 callers ahead of me....LOL

As long as the value is similarly will probably go with the OGH, these coins have been going up in value as os late, have you actually seen any CACS in this coin
@GoldFinger1969 , I am sure there out there just havent seen any yet/

According to a 10+ year old thread on another forum, for the Wells Fargo in the older OGH you need to change the second 1 to a 0 and drop the letters. Makes sense, right?? So look up 1004568 instead and get https://www.pcgs.com/cert/01004568 which seems to be the correct coin.

These are cool and all in the OGH.
    But,
    Not really old?
1990 if I recall correctly and the hoard was 10,000?
You're definitely buying the label/hyped up coin with this one.

The Wells Fargo Hoard was 19,900 coins but only about half of those hit PCGS and NGC, going by the population census.

As I am sure the remainder weren't circulated bullion coins, I'm having trouble reconciling the discrepancy UNLESS they literally never submitted any of the coins that looked like MS-63 and below.

The coins sold for about $1,100 as I recall in MS-65...gold was $400 more or less, so unless you were SURE a coin was basically just bullion, it was worth the grading costs to submit.

Finally got a call back from PCGS, they couldn't verify the cert number so they asked me
me to send in both the font and back hopefully are something back tomorro, I have noticed big value bump on theses :)
