I am going for an Ass. Degree in Business. I worked 33 years for Hershey's Chocolate. I am not an expert in collecting stocks or engraving history. My grandmother would tell lots of stories about her father. Of course the many paintings all had their Greek stories which I was told about so often. I never met my great grandfather as he died before I was born. However the family left hundreds of photographs and grandma's stories about her father stuck with me. In later years I started doing family research on the web sites. I found several 3rd cousins. It was not long ago that I saw an article from Gene Hessler and another from Mark Tomasko about Republic Banknote Co. and Security Banknote Co. that mentioned Walter A Frauz. That almost knocked me off my feet. I contacted both of them by phone last summer. Mark spoke about comming here as well. I have no interest in selling anything. These things have been in the family for all this time. I would love to share with others however. I am just amazed that his name lives on among others that know of him. I did not think he was even remembered anymore. I was not even aware of his great importance. I only knew he was one of many engravers for Western Banknote/Republic/and Security. I did know that he became a portrait engraver which was the highest level of that type of work. It was only a few months ago that Mark mentioned his importance as one of the top engravers of the time. He was very much into the "Arts" He also played the violin and painted as a deversion. There is one painting that is origional art that I know you will like. I bet you may know the stock. cert. which has the same image. I will try to attach it now if I can reduce it.... later if I have a problem. Fred
