Lie back on the couch and put a nickel in the can (silver preferred) Believe me, there are equally frustrating, and even far worse situations that do not involve quilting. A quilter who actually uses the fabric to make things is not a hoarder. By the medical definition, if the quilter's hobby does not interfere with the person's ability to lead a well-balanced, fulfilling life, it is not pathological. Keeping fabric would become pathological if the cloth were never used, but only accumulated, and the collection got in the way of normal activities, such as friendship or bathing. If someone's collecting behavior annoys you, it is not necessarily hoarding, but it may be a point of frustration that needs to be worked out with a compromise all household members can agree to, if not like, otherwise buried resentment leads to relational strife. Any more instances called for of free, unqulified, metal health advice? Oh, thanks to clembo for expanding the list of links from page 1 of thread!
I must confess to hoarding every car magazine I ever got since 1964. Old issues of Hot Rod, Car Craft, Motor Trend, Popular Hot Rodding, but they are neatly organized. Before the Internet they were collectibles. The oldest one is 1958. Tried selling but people don't want to pay anything.
COINS with trees, I mean COINS with trees! I Like Trees, This is just a point and take it as you will. THere are over 10,000 members on CoinTalk. Not everyone that responds to a thread is going to go back and look at every post you have made. This is one of the reasons that I go by clembo. It really means nothing although I now answer to it. However, if you go back far enough in my posts you can find out why I call myself clembo. I post threads and people do not always agree with me. Sometimes I just plain get lambasted. All in a day's work my friend. I have read and responded to a lot of your threads and posts. I can tell that you are an intelligent, well read person. This does not mean I'm always going to agree with you. That's what makes a forum interesting. Might I suggest that if you post a thread such as this again you mention your situation right away. People can not just assume that you may be referring to yourself. I only wish you the best but also must add that if you're going to be offended on a regular basis you will be offended on a regular basis. People here have opinions and state them in many ways.
hmmm, cool. Dig out while you're knocked out, and wake up once you're out. :goofer: Sure could go for the island in the south pacific.
