Are arguments better?? Maybe they are for you. I prefer to collect coins. Cool thing is that it's your call completely and your call will always be the right one. I will not see your reply. Best of luck to the two of you - and bait not taken.

Like a few of you, I totally missed what happened, but love the CT discussions and the great community we all contribute to!

I wonder if I could get an Ignore button for my blazer. I would probably use it a lot at work.

Stop the nonsense. Nobody's baiting you. My comment was made 9 months ago, and it wasn't my idea to dredge it up. In fact, I specifically said that I didn't want anyone to do so. I've asked you more than once to stop insulting me and spinning falsehoods about me. You don't seem to be able to restrain yourself.

I was referring to @Mac McDonald, et al .. I responded directly to his post!! You can see that above!!! I never mentioned your name and I do not know why you keep engaging with me. I did not insult you, and did not spin a falsehood about you... because I never even mentioned you. Please stop this. I did not even respond to your message... this is ridiculous... let me guess.. you will delete that now, as before? No problem. I move on.

I don't know what you're talking about regarding deleting things. Considering that the person in question was specifically addressing my old comment, I don't know why you thought he was baiting you or even addressing you in the first place. Although I don't understand why he felt the need to revive this thread to begin with. I'll be happy not to engage with you if you take the same approach.

So I responded to someone else's comment (as you acknowledge) .. I did not address you at all! Or even comment about you at all!! Your name was not mentioned. Yet you accuse me of insulting you and spreading falsehoods about you?? Why is this happening?? PLEASE share these insults and falsehoods? Everyone can see my posts here - you are not even mentioned? Why accuse me of this?? I would love to hear these falsehoods? The simple fact - as anyone can see by these posts .. follow the thread.. all the way - is that I did not even address you.

I don't think you really want me to detail the past history of "subtweeting" me that led me to draw certain conclusions here. Even if you didn't mention my name.

This (thread/incident) was dead and buried. I’d suggest calling this a misunderstanding on a touchy past topic, internet shake hands and talk some coins. :)

I did that long ago... but have you been accused of "insults and falsehoods" this evening - when you've done nothing??? Its kind of weird to be honest.

What does "subtweeting" even mean? I guess I should consult Google. Please show me an insult or falsehood that I have posted this evening? I have not even addressed you... so please stop

So - All new to me - but here is the definition according to Google/Webster's Dictionary

Subtweet: a usually mocking or critical tweet that alludes to another Twitter user without including a link to the user's account and often without directly mentioning the user's name with any good subtweet, Moore refuses to refer to Gibson by name—but it's easy enough to guess what he's talking about …
    ---
Well Donna - this isn't Twitter.. and I don't want to argue with you. I have not addressed you directly until now and have no desire to upset you or engage. Yet you have accused me of falsehoods and insults. I do not see any within this thread - but please feel free to quote any you would like. (would love to see them) ..Otherwise please leave me alone. But I know that the walls can creep in sometimes in a small space - I'm good with moving on.
But I will say that my love of this hobby and sharing my coins and questions about them will not be altered by your behavior. I think enough is enough. This thread should die. I think pretty much everyone is bored by now.

"Two newer, prolific posters are not part of my experience anymore." The first post in this thread. I suppose that had nothing to do with me.

How about your recent post unpleasantly complaining that a certain unnamed person supposedly writes "dissertations" about coins to which they assign numbers? But who supposedly couldn't be bothered to thank you for answering a question? (Which wasn't true, even if I apparently didn't thank you fast enough to satisfy you, because I thought immediately "liking" your response was enough until I had more time.) I suppose that wasn't about me either.

And then there was that disastrous thread about Isis, etc. back in January that finally got deleted or closed -- I don't remember which -- in which you spent about 24 hours lambasting me because I pushed back on your gratuitous insistence that what I had said in a different thread about the uncontroversially close genetic relationship among members of a certain ethnic group was "propaganda"? And refusing ever to explain why you said that? As well as your asserting that I was trying to be "the new sheriff in town," and then dramatically flouncing away and blaming me for it? And trying to get another member to condemn me too ("that makes two of us," etc.)? And then when you returned, starting this thread about how wonderful it felt to ignore people? Do you think I was the only one who drew a connection?

I want you to leave me alone, and stop mentioning me, by name or otherwise. You're not that subtle. And you're not just an innocent victim. Once more, I didn't want this thread dredged up. And I didn't want to get into any of this. Enough already.

Hey, how about let’s stop the bickering? There has been at least one complaint about this thread enduring on Page 1, and the squabbling therein.

I haven’t had the opportunity to read it all, and don’t relish the prospect of that, much less the need to lock or remove it, should that need arise.

Please “ignore, don’t engage”, to quote the OP. Or if you do have an axe (or labrys) to grind with someone, take it to a private conversation, pretty please? ;)

    I'm thrilled i revived it.
It should remind ALL of you to hit the ignore button to avoid all THIS immature silliness.
Watch, bye bye to ALL you ancients.
I wish you all nothing but the best, but we share no interests, like ancients OR maturity.
    Adios.
