    My thoughts are that you can't see the coin well enough to even consider estimating the grade.

    At the ANA this weekend I spotted a PCGS AU-50 1904 S Barber dime.

    I couldn't wait to see it.

    However, it looked like it had been in a train wreck.
    Marks completely covering the obverse.

    And the reverse wasn't much better.
