I'll defer to @chrisild , but in your scenario, I believe you would lose money.

After a bit more reading (but not nearly enough to start selling), it's looking like you can deduct any VAT you already paid on the item you're selling. So if I bought an item for €1000, and that price included €160 VAT, I could sell it for €1100 and remit "only" €49 (1100 x 0.19 = 209, 209 - 160 = 49).

All that income-tax fiddling to deduct cost of goods, shipping, etc. is starting to look better and better.

You hit the shells with a baseball bat towards your targets. You have so much to learn before you retire.

Harrisburg lacks the ostentatious trailing h that Pittsburgh insists upon. I know a Steve Chiavetta here. Does that count?

What would a Brit be doing with a baseball bat? They think you hit a hard ball with a flattened bat. Amateurs.

@V. Kurt Bellman You sure that wasn't the Haggis you had for dinner calling? (or maybe scrapple since you're from that part of PA)

I swore off scrapple when I first saw that the grey gunk that collects in the street gutters in the Garment District in NYC looks EXACTLY like uncooked scrapple.
