As I went to check a Coinstar a guy walked up to it with a jar of coins. All I could do was glance at the reject slot in passing. It was empty. But I waited in the distance for the guy to finish redeeming his coins. As soon as he walked away I went up to it. I left the area and came back five minutes later after they were done. I picked up some nice change including the 1942 wheat cent and five centavos from Ecuador. Finally, on another day I observed a guy redeeming a jar of coins. I walked over after he was done and found a nice 1950-S dime. On other occasions I found some kind of ring-type thing with an ornate edge. Perhaps it is silver. And also an exotic mystery copper coin from 2005. I also found this token not too long ago: Perhaps it is some kind of Prohibition-era token? It appears to be quite old and to have seen some notable circulation. Anyway, some may argue it is unethical to wait around and not inform the Coinstar users of what they are leaving behind.
