Got this nice bundle from on the counter of the machine, the wall next to the machine, on the floor, and in the reject bin. If you have good eyes you can see there is one silver dime there!
I'm trying to get a Quick List job at a Kroger. That would make it possible to check a Coinstar a few times a day. Besides that maybe once a week if that.
Boy, did I find a good one. 1926 Canadian Nickel...and it's a far 6 variant. Found on top of a coinstar. I also found other stuff that day, but this takes the cake.
Hey guys. Just a reminder that it's the end of the month!! Go down to your local coin star and check the rejected slot. Every one paying rent and looking for extra cash.
Thailand coins are my favorite world coin of all time. Love their writing, love the intricate detail that most of them have. Got to love Thailand art!!! And I'll take young head Canadian coins all day long.
I'm new to this, and after reading on this forum topic I started checking out the Coinstar return chutes. Found a few pennies once. But I looked on top of the machines, as has been suggested here, and found a silver dime. Question is, how do coins wind up on top of the machines? Bill
So I have been checking the various Coinstars in my town for about 9 months (since I discovered this thread) Over that time I have managed to find 4 silver Roosevelts and a silver Washington quarter. I also received a silver Roosevelt in change at the gas station a few months ago. It was odd...I just had the overwhelming urge it would be worth it to go in to this country gas station so I went in and bought a 4 cent Tootsie Roll just to get some change. I looked down in my hand and it was shining.
This machine is in a high traffic area and I rarely find anything at all in there... but today it yielded: -1950 (P) dime -1964 (P) dime -1976 UK half penny (never seen a post-decimal halfpenny before) -red OPA token -bathroom token from Indianapolis, IN -cruddy zinc cent
