I've found silver in the trash can at the credit union. Today my CS find was a lonely Canadian quarter.
Money is money. You can't beat that! And they were glued together which is why I think it was thrown out. One of them was ripped in a few pieces from someone trying to separate the two bills. The first thing I did was go straight to the bank to exchange for 4 cent rolls. I certainly love free money!
Thank you for that. I have to look the years up now because little man is probably sitting on some silver I've just been pitching him from roll finds.
A combination of Coinstar finds from 5 store visits today during the course of my work. The half is a 1963, the dime a 1963-D. The non-Canadian foreign are Bahamas 25c 1998, Netherlands 25c 1970, and UK 5p 1990.
Nice half fine. Things have been a little bit slow the last two weeks, probably found about $3 in regular US money but only one Thai coin in terms of foreign. However today my 2 week silver drought ended with a 1960 quarter
First pass: 1962-D dime sitting all alone in the reject tray Second pass: handful of foreign change on the counter of the machine. UK 5 pence UK 2 pence UK 1 penny (x 3) Canada nickel (1963, 1980) Canada penny (2004) Euro 2 cent Brazil 10 centavos (2010) Nederland 10 cents (1991) Germany (West?) 1 Mark (1959) nickel-sized Thailand coin (with our old buddy on the obverse) 2007 Costa Rica 25 colones (large coin about the size of a US golden dollar)
I don't usually check reject slots, but today scored the worst, rusted, beat up steal penny. I can only guess that it is a steel based on the rust. The obverse cannot be read, but the wheat ears and "one" are visible on the back. (albeit heard to discern.) Oh yea, and an 1861 Farthing
a few minor finds at the bank's coin machine earlier: 2008 Canada quarter 2006 Canada dime 2009 Euro 1 cent Philippines 25 sentimo that says 2015 on one side and 1993 on the other There was also a UK 1 pound coin bouncing around in the hopper but I couldn't get the machine to spit it out.
While doing some late night Krogering tonight I managed to find one used button battery... not my night.
About $1 in asst usa change, including a 1942-D cent. 5 carwash tokens 1 rolled cent 2 Canadian 5c coins.
