All the machines in my town are in well frequented areas and I have yet to find anything.

Never thought of trying the coinstar. I do that with soda machines and phone booths.

Exactly. Some coins get kicked out of the machine and people don't bother to check the reject slot. Sometimes silver coins are in the rejects.

:penguin: I call shenanigans on that. I haven't seen an operational phone booth in close to a decade.

Here in New Jersey all the coin counting machines in the TD banks have been taken out of service (basically just covered up at this point). Bank tellers have told me they will not be reopened or replaced. Eventually they will be removed. We either have to roll our coins or go to a CoinStar machine (Walmart) and get a receipt for the charge. If you have an account with them the bank will cover the cost of the CoinStar machine.

Lol uh perhaps you're in a different states, smarties pants. I'm in the desert, so that could be why; that being said, I saw them in the Midwest states last year. I see them quite often riding through certain areas with "card slots" though

Stopped by a Wegman's this afternoon - the closest one is about 30-40 minutes from my house so I don't get to go very often. I get why people love this stuff - the Coinstar had a good handful of change in it!

About $1.60 in common US change
    1993 Canada 10 cents
    1941 wheatie

On the east coast from the chessie to the Hudson if you even see one the handset is gone (bum nunchuck/mace) and the phone book binder is empty(bum notepad/tp). Although in the desert I could see one as necessity. Then AAA would be the 800 number to know by heart...first to activate a membership then to call back to get gas delivered.

A country music fest medal and what appears to be a silver medallion of Pope Francis with the Vatican arms on the reverse. A couple of nasty zincolns and a few buttons.

Well I decided to post this because technically a trash can is a reject bin. Two dollar bills and a penny! 20170519_160321.jpg
