Haven't been near my silver producing coin machine in the grocery store since last week. But at another store today I did find a Swiss 1/2 Franc dated 1988, a little dime sized coin worth half a buck.
One not-too-worn 1959-D Washington in the CoinStar reject tray. I replaced it with a much nicer clad example.
A large silver dollar sized medal from the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago of all places. Has dolphins on it.
First time I have ever found anything worth holding onto in a Coinstar. 1964-D Rosie (Woohoo silver) 2006-2008 Canada Cents 1975 Canada Nickel I collect Canada Cents and Nickels so they are all keepers.
State quarter and 2 pressed pennies/cents. 1. Henry Doorly Zoo of Omaha Nebraska 2. Empire State Building NYC Weird things turn up at these Coinstars. .25 cents for the count.
Hit 6 machines today and two yielded jackpots... and a third yielded a coin. Machine #2: $2.32 in assorted US change... Machine #5: Sitting on top of the machine next to where you pour the coins in were 4 coins - a 1993 1 Peso Philippines coin, a 1983-D zincoln... and a 1940-S wheat along with a 1918 Mercury Dime! Yesterday, another machine yielded a 1941-S wheat... Machine #6 had a single US quarter...
Over the last week: A 43 cent - given to my daughter who collects pennies A 64 dime - given to my son who collects dimes 2 clad quarters - kept for the coffee fund at work. No complaints!
