Actually, that would be 28/100 of a cent. 1/28 of a cent is a little less than .0004...

Back in the early 1980's I worked in NYC and went to Penn Station to go home each night.

Two or three times a week, I would buy a pretzel for 75 cents and would often get a Susie B in change as a quarter

Oldest quarter in maybe 3-4 years, the small QEII coin is from the Cayman Islands.

Went to my bank & got $50 of nickels, across the parking lot to the supermarket, and inside 2 kids were cashing in coins. They kept trying to put this dime through & the machine wouldn't take it. I gave them 2 nickels for it and everyone was happy! 50dime080416.jpg

Actually, I probably would have given them one or two quarters...that would have gotten them interested in checking coins and perhaps have added them to our society.

They spoke Spanish, and only broken English, so that's doubtful. They were just happy to get that extra 10 cents cashed in.

Found three Sacajawea dollars in the reject slot today... I was hoping one of them would have been the elusive cheerios dollar, but alas, it wasn't.
Still, three dollars in my pocket!
