Why even search boxes? Those finds are better than I did all week...lol

Found a dime in the Coinstar machine on Saturday night, it was not silver. I thought it might be a sign to play a scratch off ticket, nope, not a sign, just $0.10.

I have yet to find anything from a coinstar machine. The reject slot is always empty :(

Someday your going to score a gold swiss franc from the reject. Someone is going to cash it in thinking it's just a gold colored coin. Keep your eyes out for that.

Would be nice, but I doubt it. I'll settle for some nice silver Francs.

While dimping my skunk box of dimes:

    Canadian quarter, dime.

Israeli ten shekel piece plus 4x 1 shekels (the ten shekel is worth $2.69 today)

    Plus a 1964 quarter :D

    2008 1/2 swiss franc.

Does no one else have reject finds?

    Inq,

I wish I had finds to report. I went on Friday to dump, and my rejects were getting stuck in the tube. It was my own dimes that were not coming out. Then when I went to dump halves on Saturday morning, I inentionally dump enough to fill the bag so they have to open the machine and I get to check the reject tube. The thing was clean, not a single find. I don't understand how I have only had one score and I dump a ton. Your lucky you live around all those New Yorkers who are too busy to check the reject after they dump.

    Repost from the rollsearching thread:

Over the weekend so far (dumping my skunk box) I've found a 1968 Canadian 50% silver quarter,

and a 1896 Russian 25 Kopeck (90% silver) that Krause puts at $20 in VF

I'm coming to NYC just to check all of the coin machine reject trays! Are these at TD bank or other banks?

Got a US nickel and a US dime with a hole in it from the Penny Arcade today and was skunked at the second PA. This machine gets a lot of use so I rarely find anything.

This wasn't recent, but I've found Canadian change in the garbage can by the coin machine at the bank. Guess some people just say screw it and chuck it in the trash. So that may be worth taking a look at. Usually the can just has coin wrappers and plastic bags that people brought their change in.

My dad does the same thing, except he does that with American coinage.
