I filled a bag while dumping dimes and while i was cashing out my change ticket the customer service rep was doing a calibration of the coin counter. They basically dump in a known amount of coin and see if it counts correctly. I watched her put a roll of cents, nickles, dimes & quarters into the machine and when she ran it, a dime popped out of the return tube and onto the floor so i went over and picked it up. Sure enough it's a silver. She asked for the dime and I quick told her I'd trade and pulled a clad dime out of my pocket. BTW, I know it wasn't from what I dumped because I always throw in a few quarters, nicks and penny's after the machine is done counting the dimes to make sure everything has gone thru.
Silver Saturday Found $0.27 in the coinstar reject on Sunday. Then $0.10 on the ground in front one of the self check outs. This was found in the reject while dumping halves and dimes. HOTN
2006 Peru 50 centimos, 1950 German 5 Pfennig and some sort of plastic gold colored medal with a cross on both sides
My first CoinStar findings: a dime, a nickel and two pennies. Nothing special about them but hey, free money.
Your lucky when ever i cash in my change at the coinstar machines it does not reject the silver coin's. But i did find some world coins though.
i wasnt even cashing anything, i just found it in the reject bin before work. someone had forgot to check the reject bin. better me than them
For my first coinstar find ever, I got a 1972 canadian quarter, 1964 dime, three pennies and a nickel. Not too shabby
