Not a Coinstar rejects tray or tube find, but did score a free bag of ice at the "Twice the Ice" self serve station. A big bag of ice cost $2.50. I couldn't get the machine to take my dollar bill so trying to figure out what was the problem I started smashing buttons and out pops a bag of ice.
I text the customer service number on the machine and explained and asked if I needed to pay. Got a text back saying no Merry Christmas, someone before me must have put credit on the machine.

    Not one silver.
    Not one foreign.
    No glued together.

    Why would these reject?

I've never used a CoinStar, but I have used other coin counting machines before. If you put too many coins in at once it starts dumping a lot coins into the reject bin that normally wouldn't.

Whenever I start wondering why people are willing to lose 11% of their money to CoinStar surcharges, I remind myself that some of these same people ignore a TEN-DOLLAR pile of change accumulating RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM.

I've never, nor will I ever, use any of those coin counters that charge a fee. However, I have noticed that certain machines do permit you to select 100% disbursement as a gift card to the establishment the counting machine is located. Some include Amazon gift cards in that promotion as well.

I went thru today. It was jam packed with change. The collector was slacking. I see this particular coin star like this at least once a month. Shut down cause the bags are full.
