This Saturday I went to Hannaford in Red Hook, NY Dutchess county found nothing in the reject slot but on the other side of the hall area I saw a dime on the ground it looked an odd color and it was silver it must of spit it out and across the room. After my wife finished shopping I was walking by the same machine a guy was becoming frustrated with all the rejects he was getting so I explained to him about silver coins being rejected and gave him one of my cards because i'm a Co-Curator of the Croton River Numismatic Society told him to call me. who knows.
Went to my usual credit union in Hyde Park, NY. Got $5 in pennies today I checked them so in two roll I found 2 dimes , Is some penny worth 10 cent so they put a dime in the roll to cover the shortage??? also found a few Wheats 2 Canadians and 2 2009 cents.
A penny in the slot, a penny on the grill, a dime on the back grill shelf. I have pulled one silver nickel. A very smooth 1945-S. (Years ago.) Nice find Cheech.
I was saying to myself as I read. That me. I’ve even found them jammed in the tray slot. Glad for you
I found a Barber Dime under a Coinstar. I have also found... a 1958 D Dime, multiple Canadian change, and a few wheat pennies.
Be freakishly tall. I can touch an eight-foot ceiling without standing on my toes. But I can't see the top of a CoinStar, and I can't quite bring myself to grope around up there blindly. I have spotted coins on top of a vending machine, but it's been a long time since that last happened. Doggone new-fangled credit-card-reading machines.
Oh, I could get down there -- but I'd need some time and a good bit of cleared space to get back up. I've seen any number of articles trying to say that how long it takes you to get up off the floor is a sign of how long you can expect to live. According to those articles, I should've been dead 30 years ago.
