Last weeks find, well actually it was stacked on the shelf and just waiting for someone to pick them up.
Some dumbass left 9.50 in halves in the Walmart coin star plus a dollar coin. Including a rough 74 proof
It was funny because the guy working customer service didn’t have a line for once. He just watched me walk up and scoop it all out. Edited watch the language, we mean abbreviations also in the rules. lol
Decent handful of foreign coins. Some small Columbian 50 pesos, 40 pence, a Bahamian nickel, a Euro cent, and $.39 CAD. And YES! the Canadian quarter is from 1950
Wandered by the CoinStar at Harris-Teeter early this afternoon, and there was a double scoop in the reject bin. A big pile of mostly copper Mexican small change, a couple of Canadian, an ATB quarter -- and two Roosies, a 1964 and a 1946. I took the Roosies and a RB 1973 5 centavos, and left the rest on the counter.
i found an arcade token (generic) the last time went coinstar hunting..usually at big y it is a pay day, never at the walmart though
I've been on a pretty long dry stretch lately, I've seen more other people than ever checking the return slot too. Finally today I broke the streak. A bunch of silver including a Barber dime, that's truly a first! Plus some Canadian and common US coins. The penny sandwich wouldn't separate even with boiling water, that's a new one.
Haven't had anything in my local Coinstar for about 6 months. This was sitting on the feed area. Kinda neat.
Absolutely nothing at Harris-Teeter today. Well, I did get a bat quarter out of the self-checkout, but it was just another P.
I'll never understand this machine. That's a TGP on the left. Thought it would be apropos if it were a W. It weren't.
This isn't nearly as good as some of the other finds others have had over the past month but today I found my largest dollar amount to date in the reject slot of a Coinstar: $7.25 worth of coins. Nothing particularly old or of collector interest, or really anything worth noting aside from an unusual Master Lock key but it is still a nice haul. My previous record before this was around $5.50.
