Is there bad inflation in Jamaica? Do they use very large denomination bills?
    I haven't been there since I was a kid in the 1960's.

1953 British sixpence. For a second I thought it might be silver and then I realized they went to cupro-nickel in 1947. Still worth 50 cents and I have it in acetone to try to remove any crud.

Apparently the smallest denomination bill in Jamaica is a $50 note. Below I've attached exchange rates for the two highest denomination bills currently in use.

A fried nickel and the first wheatie of the year. 1940. going to try to clean up the nickel, I am doubtful. If it cleans up, I'll post an after photo.

1 centavo Mexico 1945. Still with some original mint luster. Without the hole maybe a little value.

The Coinstar machines in my area have been unusually plentiful recently. I found my second Coinstar silver of 2020 this time being a 64D Roosevelt Dime.

Not a coin star find. But found these in my banks coin counter. They weren’t in the reject tray, but seemed to be stuck between the grate and rubber padding they have on it. As I tried to work them out, I realized that the underside of the coin grate is magnetic. I thought it odd, but I get some neat foreign coins from it. If someone can ID the top left coin for me I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Thank you bugi1976. I appreciate the help. I had suspected it was a Baht, but didn't have time to search it last night.

I went to my credit union today to deposit a check and found a trio of elongated cents left on top of the coin counter.

Meow has found the first silver coinstar find of the year! Its been quite a while since Meow found Ag at the coinstar. Meow would guess its been nearly a year. It was accompanied by a gaming token.

Do those tokens allow you into the local zoo?

@MeowtheKitty I believe these tokens only apply to minor zoo attractions such as the carousel and train.

That Bahamas 1 cent looks small next to the Canada dime.
They used to be the same size and weight as US cents.

    2009- 2015
    Weight (gr) 1.75
    Diameter (mm) 17
    Yes it is smaller.

    1974-1985
    Weight (gr) 3.11
    Diameter (mm) 19.05
Same size as US. Bahamas-US currency is always 1:1.
I have put these coins into coin acceptors and they go through.
I've also put in Panama quarters, always accepted. Panama-US currency also always 1:1.

    1971-1973
    Weight 3.13 g
    Diameter 19.05 mm
