Nope it is the setting on the machine according to the coin star tech. I spoke to him one day,at one of the stores. He said it isn't the speed just the machine is set to kick out anything...rather then getting the store involved to open the machine, and of course they cannot open it. The machine would rather kick out than cheat a customer as it just makes sense to reject and redeposit than a customer needing help with the machine. So several things can cause it to reject dirty money, world coins the machine isn't set for, tokens, batteries, etc...etc.... and the biggie wrong medal. Silver will kick out .as well bring other coins with it.
For the last 4 to 5 days I have been finding money in lots of coin star machines and missed out on one by 30 seconds, a young girl grabbed it in the coin star and her mother asked what she was doing. Making free money.
Reject tray at my bank’s self serve coin machine. Several interesting items: 1963-D Roosie Israel New Sheqel 2016 Barbados Ten Cents History Channel Club token
One silver dime in the reject tray, and 1 under the machine (sticking out for me to see!). Silver is silver! Good luck to all.
Found all this in the reject tray at my bank today when I went to dump some nickels. Some euros, Mexican, suriname, Barbados, Canadian and Netherlands. Pretty cool. I love the tiny pennies
I found this silver Quarter in a CoinStar reject bin at a Walmart when I went to Puerto Rico a few weeks ago -
Local Ralph's market, someone making a "dump", did some shopping and on the way out got a 1964 quarter!
