Canadian quarter in the reject tray after a man and a woman dumped multiple big jars of coins in a Coinstar at Walmart. I was watching as I checked out with my groceries, took them to my car and came back to see, and he was still dumping. I waited another 10 minutes before he finished. I was sure I was going to get a big handful, lol!
I found a couple today. A 1978 Canadian 25 cent coin and one rare and valuable error Boobtube coin. .
Coin Star find yesterday. The dime is firmly attached to a nickel with what appears to be a soda spill.
Reject tray loaded today. $4.08 No silver, had 2 wheats, 1925 and 1941. Some modern foreign coins also.
I've been on a CS drought for about 6 months now. Prior to that I would find a Ag dime or Ag quarter, maybe a wheatie, lots of foreign coins, and even ephemera. I have found zero anything in the last 6 months. Frustration was mounting. Today was the turning point. I approach the CS machine and see a discarded container left by the previous depositer on the shelf (slob). My hopes were met with glee when I saw a shadow of something in the reject tray. With unbridled enthusiasm I reached into the reject tray, grasped the lone presence of one single zincoln and immediately understood why this gaping hole is referred to as the reject tray. 6 months and 1 day, and still counting....
