Used to be more finds. They have a message now at the end to tell the customer to check the reject slot.
Meow has noticed that too. Meow has not found anything since that notice started showing up. Is Coinstar plotting to keep silver out of the paws of Coin Collecting Cats?
$4.59 full hand scoop at the Walmart today. Weirdly all of the coins in the reject tray were in great condition. Alas, not a single silver. I was there to kill a few minutes while the motor bank teller, who had half dollar MWRs in her vault, got back from lunch. Found a great deal: Picked up 10 St. Patrick’s Day T shirts marked down to a dollar a piece, saving for next year! My favorite one is for the wife (see below). With the Coinstar “rebate”, my $10.83 purchase was reduced to $6.24, heck of a deal! Odd because I checked the Coinstar on the way in and it was empty. Somebody snuck in and ran their coins without me noticing which is hard to do, ha ha. Irish luck - I decided to check it anyway on the way out!
If they dump them in all at once instead of slowly, the machine can't handle it and it spits them out. And the slot will be full. Although this used to happen more often than recently. Nice pull. Dry spell here recently.
Coinstar today... CDN 1 dollar, 1 quarter, and 2 dimes. US 5 dimes, 1 quarter, and 2 cents 1 10 eurocent 1 flattened cent
unusual coin star finds from the past couple weeks. I was so so close, the cent is a 1942 I left the common change out but among my finds were a 1/20oz Disney silver coin and a flattened Disney penny at the same time. A couple euro cents. A couple car wash tokens. A Canada nickel and what appears to be a 1/4ozt silver round that I will need to take it to a coin shop to make sure it is real. I also found about $4-5 bucks in usa change fun fun fun!!!
First coin star haul ever! Success! Lol. I am not sure what the foreign is but I got a 1929 Buffalo! ☺️
I found a 1941S Jefferson along with a few horrid zinc Lincoln cents in one of the local Coinstar machines.
