Well, yesterday I called a few "new" banks to ask for $2 bills. I was told that each one had some. I asked if they knew if there were any red seals, and they weren't sure. Surprisingly, one person told me they didn't know what that meant.

But anyway, I stopped by each branch before they closed and "bought" every $2 bill the tellers had.

There were some nice 1976's and 1995's... but needless to say, I was very happy and surprised to find these:

Not a typical "haul" for me, since I rarely get a chance to rescue red seals from circulation. :D

Pretty nice finds. Read seal $2 notes were actually pretty common to find in circulation until about 1990. That is when the government started destroying them upon redemption. Before then, it was quite easy to acquire them in straps--even ones that were processed and shipped by the Feds.
