    I cant complain. Wouldnt do any good either way.

    Those Japan coins are neat. More neat is that they are silver but marked "yi fen qian" - one cent money.
    Strange that they would use silver for a low denomination like that.

    Out of curiousity, what made you decide to submit these to PCGS, as opposed to NGC?

    These are different photographs of the same coins in the original post.

    So yes, these are now TPG graded ;)

    When I was a kid, my dad pulled out a box of stuff he bought in Japan in 1946. In it were vases, swords, carvings, and a couple of necklaces made of those Bu and Shu silver coins. There were about 40 or so coins in each necklace, but they weighed so much that they hurt your neck. He took them to a jeweler and had them returned to coins and then kept them for a few more years. He sold a bunch of them to a collector in San Diego in about 1970, but kept a bunch of the best ones. I ended up with two of each denomination which I still have. They,re probably AU cond....very cool coins, having the rectangle shape. Do you think there,s a demand for these? I might keep a set and sell the other ones.
