No offense to the OP, but I have to agree with CamaroDMD on this one. I think you'd be a little bummed if they were sent off to NGC or PCGS. BUT, a good learning tool.....next time, try one of the 'big 2' and see how you fare.
I agree with both of you. If I was going to put $100 into some solid coins than it wouldn't be to ANACS. Plus they really aren't that much cheaper. Try selling 2 seperate MS-65 morgans on ebay with identical pictures, 1 in a new ANACS Slab and 1 in a PCGS Slab. You will see which one sells for more time and time again. edited to add... with that being said, buy the coin and not the holder. You can still find some really great buys in ANACS holders with out the excess cost for the plastic.
I think this is a really good point and absolutely correct. There are good coins out there in ANACS holders that are under-priced because of the slab. If you know what to look for, you can find some great coins that way.
I am not saying That I would chooses ANACS over PCGS bucause I would not..I personally like PCGS better ...but I also think thqt ANACS is still a good grading company and I would still trust them over my own grading....LOL
