I came away from yesterday’s Dix Noonan Webb auction with a couple small lots which include the coins pictured below. I am very excited to see them in hand...especially the 1893 South Afrika penny. It had an extremely low montage (11,000) and is tough to find in higher grades. My concern is the corrosion on the reverse but hopefully something can be done about that. The Italian piece is a 2 lire.
I’ll post more photos when they arrive.

That's a nice looking lot. Good luck with the corrosion spot.

The coins arrived today and I did a little work with some verdicare. No miracles but maybe a little better. Any thoughts on whether it will straight grade?

Honestly, I see it saying "spot removed" details...
