This one grades XF-45, but the eye appeal is at least 100. These are the actual colors in hand, it's by far the best toned Bustie I have in my collection.

Well, @ElmerFusterpuck, My 13-year old son's favorite coins are Busts and anything toned. So it took a good ten minutes to pull his jaw off the floor when he saw this beauty.

    Thank you!

And he still can't believe that coin. He was speechless, for once!

My gut said AT due to the hues (they just seem too vibrant) and the fact the obverse looks so much different from the reverse.

However, I was able to convince myself otherwise after noting that the color is only in the lustrous areas and grey everywhere else (which IMO is impossible to replicate), it follows the progression, and I saw similar vibrancy when I compared it to Morgans.

Before I fully commit to the latter opinion, how is the luster in hand?

Nothing odd about that toning fellows? Don't look right to me.......then again. All is natural.......

Nah, looks riotous to me. I think what's throwing it off here is that you don't see enough of the luster in the images. The fields look like there is actually plenty of luster remaining.

Like all toning, it boils down to market acceptability. Me, I could envision a scenario under which this might have happened "naturally," if the coin spent a few years in an environment where it slowly toned from the outside in, and then was removed from that environment into a differing environment where more generalized toning was possible.

Either way, it's a beast and I really wouldn't care if a TPG or anyone else adjudicated it as AT. In the market of my front porch, it's acceptable. :D

    Thanks for the props!!!

At first glance, I can see how some might view it as AT, but look closer and you can see pull away toning around the stars and the date. Looks like I chose an image which shows the color more than the luster, which pretty much encircles the coin. This is one where it screams thru the stars and the date, plus there is more on the obverse than the reverse (which has it in a very narrow band around the edge). It truly is a jaw dropper in hand. If anyone wants to check out Instagram under the same user name I have here, you'll see a video I posted. You will see the luster there for sure. @SuperDave @Kirkuleez @green18 @TypeCoin971793
