Try finding business strike half dollars from the 1880&#039;s, or better yet look at things like gold mintages. I have toyed with the idea of collecting eagles by date/mm, (skipping over things like the 1933 for obvious reasons), and I see mintages of less than 1000 coins fairly regularly.
