I don't buy it. What someone should do is ask to get see more pics, ask her to try to get a pic of the entire lot. Just a suggestion. I don't belong to ebay so I can't email her.

The Trade Dollar pictured and the Morgan Dollar next to it are both modern "Chinese" fakes.

Yep, but they need those high denom. notes to bring the "value" up. There might be a lot of coins, but my guess is it's a lot of common circulated foreign, and common circ. foreign notes, with a few small U.S. notes and coins tossed in.

when i was a kid, you used to be able to buy lots of 100 or 1000 foreign coins for a couple bucks. lots of coins w/ no value. this is another instance of someone who is going to learn a horribly expensive lesson. so sad for that as well as that another is willing to take advantage in that way. i absolutely detest scam artists.

I just sent an ebay message to the seller requesting closer pictures of the $500 and $1,000 bills. I am curious wheter or not they are fake. I will post pictures if I get them from the seller.

Most of the stuff looks like its just cheap foreign junk that you can get by the truckload.

    where's the other picts

Why didn't this eBay "powerseller" put pictures of the bags of coins, considering that there are supposedly 100,000 or more.

THAT would be more realistic than a few coins that could be gotten anywhere.

If you look close at the bill pics, besides the color of the big bills being off, the sizes of the FRN,s are not all the same. I like the pile of foriegn coins to, mabey I should try and sell my pile of forighn coins and monopoly money!!:D

the $2 and the $20 look real. might even throw in a real $100 bill. odd they would consider selling the lot for close to face value. especially considering the value of genuine 5000 and 10000 bills...what a good hearted seller

Why in the world does people who know absolutely nothing about coins and currency continue to bid these outrageous amounts of money on stuff thats obviously fake. I dont understand it. If I were to spend this kind of money on an auction which I cannot see most of, I'd expect someone to kick my a**.

    ??????????

I just can't understand how someone could spend $27,000 on anything without doing any research or without even knowing what they are actually buying. They almost deserve what they get. I want to keep an eye on her feedback to see if the buyer even notices.

Correct me if I am wrong (and I certainly could be), but wouldn't currency that is counterfeited constitute a very serious crime? Even if these are sold as a "collection" I would think the secret service would be very interested...then again, maybe not...

I would shure hope it would attract someones attention, and some thing would be done about it. Peronally I think the buyer and seller should both be slapped.
