I will go ahead and give yall a heads up with the $2 1/2. I bid $312, and was outbid again, and really do not want to go higher. HOWEVER. This coins is also a double date coin. Very neat double date/ counter stamp coin. Might be worth going higher. Do you know if pcgs or ngc would grade a counterstamp coin? I think I have seen them in the past.

A counterstamp such as this would go into a Genuine holder. PCGS and NGC grade chopmarked Trade dollars, E & L counterstamped Capped Bust quarters and counterstamped Stone Mountain commems with clean grades, where otherwise appropriate, but I do not recall other pieces getting the same treatment.

$355 final price on the double date counter stamp $2 1/2... might be a decent buy. Did you get it original poster?

On a side note.. to remove the loop I find that putting it in Ice water to boiling water several times will usualy cause the solder joint to crack/fracture giving you the cleanest removal possible. Doesn't always work if it has been "properly welded" but has often enough for me on pieces similar to that one to suggest it :D
