Ready to submit coin for grading then...Dropped it.

Accidentally lost an 1802 large cent that would probably have graded fine under my desk drawer. Put some big old scratches in it. Also bought a 78-s xf 45 trade. Didn’t realize after I bought it and looked at it and once I got it home it had a brand new staple scratch don’t know if the other dealer I bought it from did it or I did as I didn’t pick it up right away

Done that plenty. One time I was doing an antique show in the fall. Evidently I took 4 $100 bills and stuck them in the pocket of my shorts. Didn’t find them until 6 months later when I wore that pair of shorts again

 

A fast update: I found the steel Lincolns in airtites and exactly where they should have been.

The mind is a tragic thing to deteriorate.
