Probably being investigated for making and perfecting 1934 Medium Motto Washingtons in his basement.;)

Thank you for this. So, the shape and cut of the letters in LIBERTY on this coin, does vary from many other Washingtons? The L and I do look very different in shape, at least to me.

Comparing with a couple of random PCGS examples, those lines must have played some real havoc with the legend lettering. There is evidence of it with the bumpy L. I guess they would attempt to reshape the bumpy letters. So, does that mean the thinner L was the predecessor in 1934? I'm not that familiar with the original intended die stage for the Medium Motto 1934 Washington.

To me, the "L" and "I" look exactly the same on both the Original Post coin and the certified coin I posted. Lighting angles and die state could make them appear to be slightly different, however.

I agree, they are, but, other 1932 and 1934 Washingtons aren't. Has the thickness and shape, because in my eyes the shape also varies, been documented on these?

I suppose it is very possible that when the lettering of the motto IGWT was changed on the hubs, "LIBERTY" was changed as well.

This thread has become completely ridiculous. The OP gave one diagnostic that he never saw before on a 1934 quarter but others have seen. No weight, no thickness, no metal composition. This has become a fool's game. In my opinion the OP has no credibility at all. He doesn't say if he showed it to anybody else. If any of the grading companies looked at it and have an opinion. The moderator blew it on this one. This thread should be shut down and here is my reason why.

The next time someone comes with a real fake that is very dangerous on this forum, it will not have any importance. It will be treated like a joke because the OP made this into a joke. I hope the mod will do his job and take down this post already. I saw that the OP is a mod too, so he should know better.
