I noticed your rare nickel owned by the Presidential. I would be willing to purchase, say, $620.00. I've arranged an overseas purchase with a wealthy Americana collecteur. He's buddy buddy so I will sell for $720.00. I verified the history but he may attempt to re-sell. A collectible such as this is exquisite, if you again choose to sell low, please allow me to purcase with your desired method. I should Paypal immediately please?

Face value? That's it! Duh. Maybe it's worth face value -- 0.05!

By the way, if you count patterns (Judd-416-419), there are Shield nickel patterns dated 1865. But none of them are silver (or plated), and the Judd book says they were believed made in the 1870s (and backdated, obviously). Maybe the Mint was trying to sell them as belonging to Lincoln too :goofer:

    Best Regards,

    George
