I am interested in selling this rare variant from the Gallienus Zoo Series. While the pegasus type is relatively common, it is almost never seen with pegasus advancing left, as in RIC V 284. CNG sold a single example last year, the only one in their archives, in slightly better condition for $160 (not counting fees). RIC lists only 4 examples in museums. The left facing variant was struck only by the 1st officina of the mint at Rome. While the condition is a bit rough, this is an exceptionally rare type with few opportunities for the specialist to ever acquire. I am asking $100 (free shipping) for this coin; feel free to message me to discuss further! Obverse: GALLIENVS AVG, radiate bust right Reverse: SOLI CONS AVG, Pegasus leaping left RIC V Gallienus 284, ~ AD 253-268. 19mm, 1.29g.
