Now suddenly the coin has a deep history. First minted in 1932, was made of silver (one of the things that got me into numismatics is the precious metals.), less than half a million made of both the 1932-D and 1932-S. Coin was minted to commemorate George Washington's birth. Back in 1996 I would have NEVER have guessed ANY of these things about one of my precious quarters.
