Eddyk, you're close the 1765 coin is a Duit from the Dutch East India Co. (Indonesia). I don't have a price for that coin. Lou
The 1766 coin is a Duit from the Netherlands East Indies (Dutch East India), which is now known as Indonesia. A coin in VF costs around 2 to 3$.
Thanks for your efforts guys! Is that spielmarke worth anything at all? Quite interested to know whether the Chinese coin is worth any money at all. Looks like most of the coins are worth about as much as their original value!
British Commonwealth coins. Ytrebil, the New Zealand $1 coin is commemorating the change over from Pounds,Shillings,& Pence to Dollars & Cents on the 10th of July 1967.It is actually quite a common coin that always turns up,but it is a popularly collected coin over here in New Zealand. The Ugandan 1968 F.A.O. commemorative 5/- crown used to be a common coin, despite its mintage figure. It has in recent years become quite a difficult coin to find.I finally picked one up a few months ago along with the 1970 F.A.O. & United Nations 25th Anniversary commemorative 500 Mils coin from Cyprus, which is another coin that used to be commonly found, but is now another increasingly difficult to find coin. The Gibraltarian 1967 Crown is the most common of the Gibraltarian Crowns issued between 1967 & 1970.Finding the 1968-70 issues is a real challenge. I noticed that you depicted a New Zealand 1 Shilling coin earlier. The 6d.,1/-,& 2/- coins were retained in circulation as 5c.,10c.,& 20c. coins. They were withdrawn from circulation at the end of October 2006 along with the older coins. The whole exercise was part of the plan to drive the 5c. coin out of circulation. The older 10c.,20c.,& 50c. coins are now no longer legal tender. We now have a copper-coloured 10c. coin that is slightly bigger than the old 5c.,the 20c. is the same size as the 20 Euro-Cents coin,& the 50c. is slightly bigger than the current British 10 Pence coin. Your VOC item is known as a New York Penny, and also known as Dutch Duit. These were minted in several different places in the Netherlands and brought to the Colonial American colonies in the 18th century. Many of these are inexpensive and can be commonly purchased for well under $10.
The Spiel Marke (play money) is also known as a gaming counter, and would have been made for gambling use. In that condition, its value would be in the $5 ballpark. I have a 1912 one, and all of that style I have ever seen (about 6 of them) were one of those two years.
