Raising Murex

    That's the first coin in my humble collection which shows Astarte raising a Murex shell with her right hand. Palm tree in left field of reverse. The coin was struck at Tyre under Elagabalus. It weighs 5.9 g. BMC 388. Hope you like it.

    I have only one Murex, and it is a typical Roman play on names... (Purpurio => Purple => Murex )
