No point in using a 2x2. I too collect "worthless" but attractively toned, circulated Memorial cents. Best to just have a coin tube labeled "toned" and toss 'em in there. I have quite a few rolls that are pretty cool when you pour them out and see all the colors. I only save the very special ones because they are very common.
Full Jack here, too! Currently enjoying his FIRST ever snow fall here on the Oregon Coast!! Steve P.S. Nice toned Cent, too!
It was placed on the stove just below the melting temperature of Zinc, try it DON'T PUT THE STOVE ON HIGH OR IT WILL MELT
tlasch, um, what exactly are you referring to? Just curious, although I am new and all, I think I missed a post or thread or something. Can you expand for me please?
Yes Lehigh, the are definitely a pretty item to collect, without question. I know I like mine. I think I have another one, an older one, maby early 70's? I got to dig for it though. I haven't yet figured out what exactly I want to hone in on in my collection. They all have different aspects. And furthermore, I'm not too sure if I want to stay south of the border. While I'm in Canada, I suppose it would only make sense to collect CAD? Mind you, I don't there are a lot of toned CAD coins? Mostly US. Hmmm....maybe I take up tlasch's toning project and create some Canadian tones coins! lol.
