Thanks for the fun quiz, TIF. 800/1200. I actually think that score is pretty good, but I will pay more attention. Like my students, I didn't know these threads would be "on the quiz".
Damn, again I'm the bottom of my class... Story of my life. At least I still make a good chemical engineer (unlike the rest of the brainiacs of my earlier class). Hehe...
=> randygeki, the bell needs outliers on both sides of center to give it that really cool curved shape (TIF is thinking of putting-on a summer school session for the kids that skipped-out and went partying during classes)
It would be more reasonable if I showed 3-4 coins from one person. Perhaps next time. Other types of quizzes would be fun too. I've contacted the quiz host to see if the layout can be modified. There is so much dead space on their layout-- why? I uploaded images of ~700-800 pixels wide. During the conversion to their layout they lost size and significant quality. For quizzes with images, a better platform will be needed. I suspect they'd be perfectly willing to modify it for me... for a fee.
900/1200 because I am physically incapable of telling IdesofMarch and AncientJoe apart. I just see dollar signs. Tif - I guess my lead was just too much of a giveaway to make it into the quiz? Hehe
I'd like to do a much more extensive and inclusive quiz, or several quizzes... but I was crunched for time and just made this on the fly over the span of an hour or so. The website (QuizRevolution) was very easy to use and had much better functionality than other free quizmaker sites I checked. PS: several of us have lead now. Uh oh... Ardy's getting some competition! Just cross your fingers that dear darling Clio doesn't start collecting tessera
Lead would have been a real low blow. Either it would by obvious if it belonged to Ardatirion or impossible if you used mine. The exact same quiz could be reused changing only the pictures but selecting trickers. AJ's worst coin might be confused with TIF (how about a coin that used to be his). My best animal might be Steve's while Valentinian actually has some nice coins that are not in RIC IX. A test is not good if people get them all right or all wrong. The idea is to separate those who 'get it' from those who pass through without suspicion of studying. More of my coins have been posted online (my site, CT and a couple other sites) so it might be harder to fool long term readers here. Our newer members who have a dozen coins and have shown them all here might have similarly hard time fooling people. The idea of school is not to make people feel stupid but just to point out they are still a tad short of perfection.
