I blasted-off the starting-line and got the first three correct, but then I stumbled over the 4th hurdle and went down hard!! => thanks for the contest Noob (fun times)
Ha yea, I thought @chrsmat71 and @dougsmit were going to take the whole thing with ease. I see they were right on point with each other.
thanks AN, that was pretty fun! i did better than i thought! i really was undecided about the first two. i knew the eastern coin was "old" , but i couldn't remember exactly where it hit. i was thinking like maybe it was dated like the mauryan punch marked coins....but it's older. anyone want to do another one? i'll set one up if anyone wants to.
Being new to ancients, I didn't even try to attribute any of the coins. Would have taken me forever. I instead looked at the artistry of the coins and tried to figure it out that way. I really didn't do too bad, being as the only coins i've really looked at were the ones the members here have posted. Cool game.
Ok, I didn't put them all in once pic like AN...I'm a bit lazy for that sorry. coin #1 coin #2 coin #3 coin #4 coin #5 coin #6 coin #7 coin #8 i tried to space them out a bit, so may be to easy for those very familiar with ancients. however, it looks like we have several playing that aren't primarily ancient collectors, so i hope you guys can do this as well. if you are from the world coin forum, there is actually one coin here that technically belongs there. no cheating!
