quick questions about silver weight.

    sorry if this sounds dumb but how do you work out the weight of actual silver in a coin. for example if a coin is .900 does that mean that the actual weight of silver is 90% of the total weight of the coin? again sorry if this sounds dumb but i could do with some help here. thanks

    And sites like http://coinflation.com is a perfect site for the lazy people (like myself although I excelled at math over english) to calculate the metal cost for ya at most up to date prices of the metals. :)
