This one should be real easy but after an hour of on-line searching I just can't find the proper identification. I'm guessing it's from ancients ID burn-out ... which I'm sure many of you have experienced at one time or another. Anyways, the coin is obviously a tetradrachm of Hadrian from Alexandria but the reverse is a bit different than those I've found. Here it is: Obv: AVT KAI TPAI AΔPIA CEB: Bust right with crescent before Rev: (EIPHNH CE ..): Eirene standing left holding caduceus and corn; L - S to either side. I can find a similar coin but not with the reverse inscription (which probably ends in CEBACTH or something similar). Thanks in advance for the help.
The reverse inscription is EIPHNH CEBACTH per Emmett (Emmett 838; R5 for RY 6). Looks there are a few in RPC. The latter half of the legend is on the right so just off flan or mostly off flan/worn on this coin. https://rpc.ashmus.ox.ac.uk/coins/3/5319
@TIF : Thanks once again. Much appreciated. I did not check that particular website which I certainly should have done. Interesting that it didn't show up on the typical sites.
