I don't want anything rare, just a nice proof set containing the coins that, when put together, make the design of a shield on the reverses.

    1) Is the cheapest way to get these coins going to be to buy one of the 2015 sets?
    2) If so, any recommendations (other than eBay) on where to buy?

Thanks. They only did it the one year then? Interesting.

The new (Matthew Dent) designs were introduced in 2008; of course they can also be had with later dates. Just note that some proof sets also contain the commemorative coins issued in that year. This for example is what the Royal Mint issued, in terms of sets, this year.

If you want a circulated set, I can do that. They are readily available and fairly easy in change. Happy to put a set in the post - or trade for some Sacagawea $1 circulated of equal value (£1, 50p, 20p, 10p, 5p, 2p, 1p - £1.88).
