Great link thank you. What do you guys think about letting this coin sit in a window seal for a couple months to bring back some toning before I send it to pcgs. Do you think that would benefit the coin, hurt it or not make a difference either way?
Nothing you can do to this coin is going to fool a professional grader. Send it to PCGS now and hope it comes back genuine. Then sell it, and buy yourself a graded one with original surfaces. I know there is much talk about how many coins the graders look at each day and how much time the spend on average looking at your coin. But trust me, Trade Dollars will get special attention from TPG's. They might spend 20 seconds looking at an ASE, but don't expect 20 seconds for a Trade Dollar.
Very interesting that is why you see some trade dollars that look whizzed in pcgs holders I couldn't figure it out. Thanks for the info.
I sent my trade dollar out to anacs since we can all agree that it has been cleaned I wanted to get a details grade and will be getting it back today and will post pics.
