First let me say I know the penny is not copper but just curious as to why this penny weights 2.61 grams while the other 1983 pennies are at least .10 grams less than that.
2.5 is what it should weigh. You probably have a slightly rolled thick planchet. The mint specifications are something like +/- 0.13 grams for a zinc cent. Yours is within tolerance.
