I would like to interject here. This is possibly a situation where " Two Wrongs, Don't Make It Right " . The first point I'd like to bring your attention to, is " Knowledge " is Key. As a " Seller " whether it be on the EBAY venue or any other similar auction services, a Seller must not only know the FMV, but must also be able to offer the potential " Buyer " , accurate descriptions and grading. Today, with the technological advances such as Digital Photo's, use it a big plus. However, we all know to well, how these can be manipulated.

If a Seller provides potential Buyers with a detailed and accurate description , decent photo's and a Fair Price, Returns will be a a minimum, at best. Don't assume the Buyer has those critical qualities that you do not yet possess, and expect success as a " Seller " .

I would offer a return policy in line with ebay (14 days) and specify buyer pays return shipping. I would not refund a returned item until received.

    I've done that before.

Once I sold an NGC graded Franklin half to this guy for way less than what it was worth. He wanted a partial refund because my description didn't match the photo. I messaged him and said I would pay the return postage and a full refund if he sent it back. Within five minutes, the guy opened a case, got his refund in full, and gave me a red mark. He didn't even have to return the coin. Ebay blamed paypal for that, and Paypal blamed eBay. They wouldn't do anything about the red mark. They did credit me the return money.

The buyer can leave negative feedback, but the seller can't. There are sellers that will give the buyer a green mark, then bash him in the comments. You have to be careful doing that. There are keywords (like 'negative') that eBay can find and burn you with.
