Hello all, I’m new to collecting and this site. I recently came across a listing selling 3 $2 bills. The bills were New York, Dallas, and San Francisco. Their serial number letters were different (obviously), but the number is exactly the same. I’m new and not always the sharpest crayon in the box, but it seems pretty astronomical to me that someone ended up with those exact bills. This has to be rare, right? Thanks in advance for any replies!
Sometimes there is a sharpener built into the box. take the time and you'll learn, you have it in you that being said, I can't help with the notes
Photos are always appreciated. It sounds like a novelty that might bring a premium. How much were they asking?
Having the serial numbers match is way more of big deal to me than adding up random serial numbers looking for a match. You would think if you handle a lot of cash, and have the free time, it may not be that difficult to do.
The bills are two 2009s and one 2013. They’re in excellent shape. They’re asking $90 for them. Im very close to buying them!
Basically they are new bills. If you go to your bank and ask the teller for $2.00 bills you may be able to find some just like this. I have done this in the recent pass with success. Welcome to CT.
That's unique. I've gone through thousands of notes and don't think I've ever had two with the same numbers.
These are from the Triple Deuce set sold by the BEP in 2015. There were 3000 sets sold. The sale price from the BEP was $59.95. If you really want one, there is one on eBay for $29.95 including shipping.
I just noticed them. If you can make a counter offer I would do so. The price doesn't sound bad to me but I would want them at the lowest price I can get them. Sorry about my first response. Glad I took a second look.
