Queen Elizabeth II passes at 96

I have so many UK coins. I must go through my pictures, and sort them out. This was my latest purchase 4 days ago. Rest In Peace, Her Majesty. Long Live the King.

I have a few British sovereigns (and some guineas) but this one is special:

Gold, 22.0 mm, 8.0 gm

I wanted a 1963 British gold sovereign after seeing the film but the United States gold regulations (in 1963) and personal finances prohibited obtaining one.

Until recently.

What use would they have for iron?

 

CNN is wrong both the Royal Mint and the Royal Canadian Mint posted states that coins with the Queen will circulate for years (in fact in Canada you can very rarely coins of GVI aim circulation )

 

Yeah...methinks CNN doesn't know how currency (coin and paper) works.
