this is not a very good picture, but the p mint mark and everything around it is a little smeared. The other one is a 2013 quarter I found with an s mint mark. I'd like to know how much there worth, but if there face value I'm a-ok.
The one with an S mint mark is a "business-strike" coin, the same as normal circulating coins, as opposed to a "proof" coin with mirrored fields. The mint has been selling rolls and bags of S-mint business-strike quarters for the last few years. It's quite unusual to find one in circulation, but the jury is still out on their actual value. See this recent thread for more discussion.
obviously someone felt the S-mint was only worth 25c ... or maybe a collector "seeding" the local economy to pique interest?
Ok well I already planed on keeping it, but if you guys said not to and gave a reason I probably wouldn't.
