    Only the very bored and cruel person who did it would know how the damaged happened.

    we've seen similar damage to that before (or I've had experimenting).
    Looks like someone took a can opener to it.

    you may want to ask the person who did it why ... may have been an art project .. or they were trying to "create a mint error" ... maybe they were trying to fix their can opener, who knows.
