Picked these up over many years. Each has a history that is special to me. I bought this first coin raw, from a Bowers auction back in 1993. I paid $309, a strong price at that time. I fell in love with the 6/5 date.
These two sisters came from @ToughCOINS a while back, at different times. I thought they belonged together.
This coin came from Mark Feld. A good friend and one of the best people I have ever known in this hobby. The first image is what I bought it from. I think Todd (bluccphotos.com) took the other images. It's a really pretty coin to me.
I have to include one more Seated Quarter. It came from Rick Snow. It took me 30 years to find the coin. It came from the die that was clashed with the 1857 Cent. Tough coin to find.
These two Barber proofs also came from Mark Feld. Todd took the images of the first coin and @messydesk took the second images. Both of these guys do great work. The last images are my poor try to catch the color.
This came from Mark Feld. It has changed a bit in the holder over the years. I bought it from the first image. The second images are mine and the last were taken by @messydesk. It's not as pretty as it once was.
Amazing sets you’ve assembled, Larry. I could cycle through your pics all day long. Here’s a modest Barber that has the kind of toning I LOVE on circulated coins.
Fantastic coins Larry. I hope to one day whittle down my collection to just hold beauties like these.
Great coins, love that 1891 quarter. I’ve been after a DB Quarter for some time now...here’s my 25C set so far:
